We found his most favorite place on earth!

Last Tuesday Tate and I were driving back roads home when we wondered up on a wonderful park....yes I have lived in Gilmer County my entire life and never known about Talking Rock Park! Sad, I know... Ok so Tuesday we found it! Tate was on cloud nine!

The train went by while we were playing & I thought he was going to loose it! I don't think I've ever seen him happier. If you know Tate than you know he eats, sleeps, breathes--trains!!! On Wednesday, we had to take Daddy back for a dinner cookout. We fired up the grill and had a wonderful family time! There wasn't a train to pass on Wednesday, but we were able to enjoy each other as we walked along the track, talking about the wonderful little spot we found--so close to home, yet never knew it was there!??! This is now a hot spot for us, just wanted to share some pics--my boy was oh so excited!

What to do on rainy days????

Oh what a rainy day....great day for driving around looking for new photo locations!!! That is exactly what Jen and I did. With our journey we found alot of new places, one of my favorite was this brick wall. Gotta love days like today!!

I love my life!!!

With days like today, I wonder how life can get better...although I have a promise inside me that it will. We spent a sunny day on the boat and to me there is nothing better. I love watching my boys fish and spend time together. Tate is everything Rob could have dreamed of in a son....he loves everything his Daddy does! The two of them go out on the boat all of the time, but I rarely do until it is warm enough to swim...well it was really nice to go today & just be able to sit back and watch them enjoy life. I was able to relax, grab some sun (too much sun) and read my book. There was a nice breeze all day and the water was gorgeous! While the boys didn't catch any fish, we did have a wonderful day together as a family. I feel so blessed to live the life I have--I will never take it for granite. To everyone reading this...enjoy your life-it's too short not to.

My forever has started and I'm 4 years in...

I am happy to say that on Wednesday Rob and I will be celebrating 4 wonderful years together! I'm so excited to have found such a wonderful person to spend my life with...he is not only a wonderful husband, but a great Father, Friend and person in general. When we first met, it wasn't love at first site- more of a friend thing. Now I look at that as a plus, because not only did I fall in love with my friend, but I am blessed to spend the rest of my life with him. I hope everyone reading this has what I have in him...otherwise life just isn't complete. To me, life couldn't be better....Thanks Rob!

The magic of Easter

Easter--what magic it holds! As Tate hunted for eggs the magic came out in him... His eyes were big as half dollars looking for the next egg, and with each find he was amazed. I do remember Easter as a child, but the magic gets lost along the way. Watching Tate brings it all back!

Colors of Easter!

This year for Easter it was a new ball game....Tate wanted to color all the eggs green and blue (his favorites). While we didn't let him do that, he did enjoy having free access to eggs!! Nah, he did really well taking his time to drop each egg in the dye. I remember as a child this being on of my favorite things about Easter-so glad I get to enjoy it again through his eyes!
